Itinerary

Upon your arrival at the airport, a representative from Visit Nepal Holidays will be there to pick you up and take you to your hotel as per the itinerary. After taking some rest, you will have a meeting with the representative and the tour guide, who will give you a brief overview of the entire trip and answer any questions you may have. It's important to interact with them and ask any questions so that you are well prepared for the trip. If you arrive late at night, the meeting will be held the following day after the city tour of Kathmandu. During the meeting, any remaining bookings and payments will be processed.
Overnight Stay in Kathmandu.

For Lukla flight from Manthali:
On the trekking days, you'll start early in the morning, around 2-3 AM, and take a shared tourist vehicle to Manthali, a journey that takes approximately 4 to 5 hours. Then, you'll fly to Lukla, which takes around 20 minutes. This schedule is applicable during the peak trekking months of March to May and October to November.

For Lukla's flight from Kathmandu:
You will wake up early in the morning, around 5 am and drive to the domestic airport in Kathmandu, which takes about 30 minutes. From there, you will take a flight to Lukla, which takes 30 minutes and provides amazing views of the mountain ranges and landscapes. Once you arrive in Lukla, the guide will provide brief details about the first day's trek and introduce you to the porters. You'll have breakfast in Lukla and start your trek, walking through Chaurikharka village until you reach Phakding. During the walk, you may encounter animals like Dzho, Donkeys, and Yaks, and pass through rhododendron forests and small villages. Phakding is a small settlement on the bank of the Dudh Koshi river, so you will need to descend from Lukla.
You will spend the night in Manjo.

You will keep walking beside the Dudh Koshi river, crossing it several times using suspension bridges decorated with prayer flags. The path will then become steeper as it enters Sagarmatha National Park, offering stunning views. Namche Bazaar is known as the entrance to Everest and is a bustling hub with various amenities like restaurants, lodges, shops, money exchange, internet cafes, and bakeries. Namche is the largest village on the entire Everest trail.
Overnight at Namche Bazaar.

The trek continues by the side of the rushing Dudh Kosi river with stunning views of the mountains. You will end the trek at an altitude of 12,893ft / 3,930m, where you will reach Tengboche and visit the local monastery. The monastery showcases ornate wall hangings, a large statue of Buddha, and the musical instruments and attire of the Lamas. After exploring Tengboche, the trail leads you down to Debuche, crosses an exciting suspension bridge over the Imja Khola and takes you to Pangboche village, where you will spend the night.

After leaving Dingboche, the trail continues to the Sherpa village of Dingboche, which is known for its stunning views of mountains like Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam. Be sure to take breaks along the way to prevent altitude sickness. Stay overnight in Dingboche.

From this point, the difficulty level of the trek increases due to the higher altitude which results in lower oxygen levels, making us feel more fatigued. The trail will lead through windy pastures with yaks and an uphill journey along the slopes of Pheriche. The terrain will change significantly compared to the previous days. On the way, we will have the opportunity to closely observe Tawache, Cholatse, and Lobuche peaks, as well as the stunning Ama Dablam view. Our lunch stop will be by the Khumbu glacier and after an hour of direct hiking, we will reach the Thukla pass memorial dedicated to Sherpas and climbers who lost their lives in nearby mountain expeditions. The trail until Lobuche will be mostly straight with a rocky mountain terrain and potential melted snow. We will spend the night in a small and beautiful village near the epic Khumbu glacier and the base of Lobuche peak. If we are lucky, we may witness a stunning sunset over Nuptse and Pumori. It's important to prepare for the coldest night and some may experience difficulty breathing due to the altitude.
Overnight stay at Lobuche.

The next stage of your journey will be to trek to the Everest Base Camp. On the way, you will come across memorials dedicated to Indian army mountaineers. It's important to stay close to your lead Sherpa, as the path can be deceptive at times. The air is thin at high altitudes, making the hike challenging. You'll traverse through rocky terrain, moraine, and streams before finally reaching the base camp. The camp is filled with brightly-colored tents of mountaineers, particularly in the spring. From here, you can admire the views of mountains like Nuptse, Khumbuste, and Pumori. Finally, you will return to Lukla via helicopter from the Everest Base Camp. You will spend the night in Lukla.

The trek concludes today with an early breakfast in Lukla. You'll leave the hotel and head to the nearby airport for your flight. During the 35-minute scenic flight from Lukla to Namche, enjoy the view of the mountains and hills from the plane window. Your guide will drop you off at a hotel in Kathmandu and you'll have the rest of the day to explore the city on your own. Spend the final night in Kathmandu.

The end of the fun and exciting days has come, and it's time to say goodbye. Our representatives will take you to the Tribhuwan International Airport according to your flight schedule. We hope you have a safe and enjoyable journey as we enjoyed organizing this tour for you.
